Beacon Hill, Florida
Beacon Hill, a dune ridge overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in south Gulf County, has long been the location for the Beacon Hill Lighthouse, an aid to navigation at the entrance to St. Joseph Bay.
This small gulf front community is located just east of Mexico Beach, bordered on the west by Highway 386 and the east by the community known as St. Joe Beach.
In 1996, Beacon Hill also became the location for a new community park serving the needs of visitors to south Gulf County's beaches. The park features open and covered picnic tables, restrooms, a playground, a softball/baseball field, a boardwalk to the beach, and an unbelievable view!
